I was going through some ancient computer files on my work drive trying to find access to a database I needed to get into and I found a folder of nothing but a woman's life problems and recipes for baked goods. The good news is my database was in the same folder! Watch what you put on public drives and learn to delete your stuff after you leave the company. See below for an excerpt

Kinja'd!!!

"It is my understanding that you have had a discussion with Jason. I have debated for two weeks whether or not to write this letter because it will only hinder our relationship. But I need you to know how much you have hurt me and that there are two sides to every story. You seem to have already formed an opinion about me based on Jason's false allegations but I am going to inform you of my side, how I feel, and what I want with my future. You don't have to agree with me and you don't have to side with me I could honestly care less at this point – but really listen to what I am telling you! You haven't even given me that chance to tell you what I had to deal with for many years with Jason (the battles, the fights, the drinking). Do you care about me at all to even consider my feelings?"

I'm amazed what people store on the company's drives. One day we found a guy with every episode of Avatar. We see lots of torrents and cracked stuff. Music ... so much music!

I keep all my personal stuff local in one folder and a subset of folders. Much easier to delete

Do you have a script that automatically deletes it if you don't tell it not to after a certain period of time?

Why would you have any personal files on a company resource? having worked in IT for the bestter part of a decade now it never ceases to amaze me what people put on company resources, every thing from porn, pirated media, games, and personal information. Jesus people. get your own PC for this shit..

Though that time i found all those nude photos on the secretaries computer of her self, well that was just a good day.. As was my SOP i reported them to HR just like any time I found stuff. Feel bad she got fired, but what ever. I saw boobs
